Change

If I had one chance to change it all

One alteration either big or small.

Having everyone do something nice

To thaw every heart filled with ice,

To change the world through basic kindness

To alter the world’s state of blindness

To those that need a helping hands

Small things not solved with money bands

If everyone were to help their neighbor

From kind words to caring labor

One man’s change will come up short

Others must lend their support

We must respond to the call

Or else the world will continue to fall

The only way to make a transformation that will last

Is to make yourself better than in the past
