Change?

If I had a chance to change the world,

What would I do?

Wish for politicians to be true?

For the country to be united?

For broken families to be righted?

Perhaps I should wish for children to be fed,

For wars to stop adding to our dead,

For abortion to cease

For the poor to decrease.

If only one wish I had,

Still, there so much bad.

So instead I wish for this--

That wishes will no longer exist.

For when people stop hoping for change,

They will have done it.

I love all of God's creatures. I just like some of them better stuffed.
