The Change

A soft caress, a stolen glance.

Things I would take back, had I the chance.

A group of friends, all nice and kind,

Were all lost in a moment's time.

Softly, softly, my heart yearns

For things no longer of my concern.

Time spent out and about,

The losing of which I had doubt.

I wish for that time once again,

The time when it had all begun.

If it were possible to change it back,

I would take the chance in nothing flat.
