Change
Time...Seconds tick by, not a moment to spare,
Each meaningless instant given new thought, new interpretations:
Obstinate facts soften as its ridges wear smooth--as glass,
Jovial past turns in turmoil as the light-dark fog of uncertainty looms ahead,
Fear--none other than my own self--imagination!
Never does this mind halt; forevermore churning butter,
Pixelated dots of changing color, allowing me to see nothing, and everything.
Opposite points of view: the individual and the observer:
One cannot exist without the other, and both must exist simultaneously,
Yet, both cannot be encompassed together into a single entity,
If one persists, say thoughts, then it is impossible to be an observer free from these,
One cannot be both the individual and the observer,
One can, however, switch between the two indefinitely, as time allows;
You form a new personality, a new persona,
And then you view your former self through the lens of the onlooker,
In doing so, however, you forever block the path back towards your late existence,
And you forever remain within your new persona--until the role of spectator again--
In this way, as time continues, the person continues through a series of landscapes,
Moving through ridges and valleys: through the waterways of life…
Time continues, never terminating its flow, never waiting for those fallen;
Changes are eminent, differing each time, differentiated from second to second,
Take flight: the sky awaits, the winds are northwest, emanating from a cycle of tornadoes,
Stretch your hands towards the horizon, and transform in a flash into colors of indefinite shapes,
Become the wind, curious to see--short-lived breeze; multitudes of colors and shapes,
Change form, be the rain--pour down on people and then form a rainbow,
Change and for the better; keep in mind though: that winds are short-lived.
Limited time.
Extend outwards: the horizon awaits: where reality becomes dreams:
Where sleep is no longer tempting:
For you know that when you want to remain awake, your reality has surpassed your dreams.
And change persists.
