Change is inevitable 

It can haunt us

Like a demon in the night

You can try and take flight

But somethings you must grow with

From years of being a witness

To the abuse, it was all a mess

" It didn’t used to be like this!"

Or maybe I was too young to bear witness

But now things are different

He learned to be benignant 

But it was much too late for his commitment

His family left him

Because he left his mind long ago
