Change and Courage

Change is what scares me the most.

But being afraid of something that is constant,

Worrying over the what-ifs, and the “what’s next?”

Will only create a scarier effect.

So I travelled exactly 7,403 miles from home.

My courage allowed me to realize

That when you fear something,

It means that what you’re doing is worth your while;

That your fight with your fears will be nothing

Once you recover and look back at your old self in time.

Fear doesn’t mean you’re weak

But dwelling on it does paralyze you until you break.

It is daunting to walk on an unknown road, it’s true.

But trust me, change is good, too.
