A Change to be Made

Location

We first met in the band room, you and I

No one expected what would have to come.
Many people questioned you asking, “Why?”
Your nervous smile, made my heart a drum.

You with those eyes, an abysmal of blue,
So capturing, never letting me go.
The butterflies in my stomach, none knew.
My feelings for you, you will never know.

The nervousness that I’ve gained; halting me
In the situation that I’ve been in,
Has brought me down since we can never be.
Since we have a fate that must never win.

All I can now say is one thing, one change,
I want, what I wish for, is one exchange.
