Change For The Better

A blooming body, a flourishing mind,

A thriving prospective with diminishing time.

Sustained habits, consistent ways

“Comfortably settling for less is okay”

But it’s not alright, it is not fine

“Good enough” is no longer an option in my mind.

Striving for the best, battling to the top

Exceeding my capabilities? I will never stop.

I am better than my former self, I know this is true.

I will prove I can fulfill what I am set out to do.

If I could change one quality, it would be my intellect, this time.

Because “good enough” will never again

be an option in my mind.
