A Change Inside

A Dark Shadow Beckons
And I Begin To Toss And Turn
What Hell Filled Thing
Is Haunting My Dream
And Makes My Body Ache

It Starts To Change
As I Try To Scream Out A Name
So Foreign And Sacred My Tongue
The Words Slip Right
The Words Slip Left
As Darkness Continues To Feel Gallant

My Heart Becomes Like Acid
And Burns Away At My Soul
In The End
All That Is Left
Is A Broken Shell
In Which A Human Did Reside

However That Person Is Gone Now
For Darkness Is Taking A Ride
