Change! Never Stops/ (a sonnet about moving)

Shift the sands of time; change, the lone constant

Life goes on without you, don’t think they’ll stop

Looking back. out their life, it’s you they crop

No matter how badly you didn’t want it

Moving, it leaves you with mem’ries haunted

You return. you are no one, just a prop

Face fallen, into your lap, your head drops

Tears, streaming down your face, you’re unwanted.

But alas, stop this selfpity. It ends

You impact others, their lives grow richer

You are worth it, you are memorable.

Time eases wounds, old ties you quickly mend

You grow mature. You become less bitter

Change is constant, but now it’s more bearable
