Change is Now

Poetry is

A way to express your thoughts

And change minds

It helps in getting a point across

That may take some time

For people to realize just how important it is

To pay attention to where we live

To what's around us 

And what we believe

Poetry can change the thoughts

Of people who refuse to see

It can express the fact that we need change

Through the words and phrases, one may exchange

If we live our life

To read between the lines

Maybe soon we can see

Change is a must

And the stars are aligned

To help us solve those problems

And change how time

Will soon inevitably affect us

And create a better world 

In which we can live our lives

Knowing that we finally did right

But if simple words can't change that

Hopefully poetry can change the way

And people will understand 

That today is the day
