The Change of Oneself
Change is a Beast behind the bars within,
It craves to get out, to be seen and befriend.
Without the key to the cage, I surely can't win.
This Beast is my friend who can result, a good end.
Consistency of me and the Beast is important.
With two sets of values one cannot concentrate,
But rather live between what one does and one doesn't.
The Beast within must either go free or, sadly, deteriorate.
Hypocrisy is the largest of worries.
Not working together can cause many a problem,
When we don't align its like fighting our armies.
On the path to victory this is a large chasm.
Peace is found only when one hugs the Beast.
Possible alone by finding the key,
And everyone who does so should enjoy a great feast.
For doing this deed is, in fact, a great victory.
Change will come slowly, day after next,
And when I change myself I become an aficionado.
The feeling inside is of me being unvexed.
People see that I've bettered, and so soon they too shall follow.
