Change, or stay the same...?

In a world that changes every day, at a fast pace, one has to wonder should I change or stay the same? For what reasons? To fit in, to be accepted, to blend in and finally be noticed? You ask these questions and the ones who have been accepted by society have no answer. It's just something, that's well... "cool". It's in for the THOTS, it's in for the wannabe's and fake Beyonce's. Never will there be a place for me... An original, a sweet heart, a good girl. Only for those who kill themselves for likes and followers. So, the question arises again, do I change or stay the same, I put my head down as I contemplate what to, the white man has a smirk on his face, seeing I with my head down; thinking I have given in. Thinking I'm going to turn my back on my people; on myself. Until I've lifted my head after asking The Lord above forgive those who've lost themselves... I stay the same.
