Change Our Minds

Progress, change, we ever seek,

We see the potential,

All around us,

In our leaders and peers and the coming years,

And our eyes feverishly scan the news,

While our lips scowl.

“What is wrong with people?”

And we talk incessantly to avoid an answer.

Progress, change, we hope to find,

Yet we are blind to the change that we produce,

Individuals neglecting their own minds,

Yet bitter about the product of others,

With smiles so rare and inconceivably powerful,

It’s the mindset that demands change,

And the actions are sure to follow.
