Change for Today

Change, now that’s a word you might not see everyday

Change, that’s seems to be the only way

Making a difference within yourself, to speak, to make that step

They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but you never seem to understand that until you get older

Turning around and leaning on shoulders, says the girl looking for a holder just to hold her

But how can one seek happiness from within if they’ve never knew the meaning of love to being?

How can one change the world, when all along they’ve been a scared little girl?

That voice of fear keeps approaching and it’s near

But learning to block out the negativity in my ears

So I being to create a plot, a plot so big it will take me to the top

I take that vow to make a change, one so strong people will remember my name

By changing the fears in peoples ears,

Put an end to poverty keeping in mind it’s all in the heart of me,

Inspiring others to establish a bond like brothers,

Keeping the environment free from drugs, crime, and even negativity.

Making a difference in my community, one that will last to keep the unity.

Creating a pack so strong, and so committed, the people will never seem to forget it.

Continuing by spreading the love, the same kind of love we’ve all received from above

Taking one step at a time, one dream and vision in mind, leaving the past behind, but keeping my goal at the front of the line

Always remembering to keep my motivation, realizing it is the reason that changed me

That same change from that once scared little girl, and the same little girl who will grow up to make a difference in this world.
