Change? Why?

If I could change the course of someone's day

By the upturning of my lips into a smile

Drastically reshape the art of one's opinion of self

By a small act of kindness

Wow!

How about a warm 'hello'

Letting people know that they are not invisible and are worth being seen and loved

A soft pat on the back

A sincere word of encouragement

If I could do that...what would it change?

A lot! It would help many to understand and experience something they rarely receive:

Love, kindness, mercy, care....

The sad thing is, even though, I am able to do all these,

I don't

Why, you ask?

Well, do you? Have you ever committed one of the above mentioned?

If not, then tell ME, why?

Because I really don't know, why?

Thanks. It was written as a result of inner conflict. This is what came out when I put pen to paper.
