A change in the world

To change the world - now that would be something.

It starts with a step and has a few leaps,

but it’d be nice to have a world that only seems real in your sleep.

There is one thing I will be sure to invent

that will change any attitude to be content.

Because isn’t that the problem,

one’s attitude these days?

We need something to change what people praise.

Not violence, not hatred, not anger or fear

It’s not racism, or things that corrupt good cheer.

But it’s love and hope and things that bring great peace.

It’s caring and kindness and things that have seemingly deceased.

What happened to chivalry, faith, companionship and loyalty?

Doesn’t everyone deserve to be treated like royalty?

It doesn’t matter what they did or what they will do

because we all make mistakes, even you.

So help change the world before we are doomed,

and maybe if everyone changed their mood,

the world will be better before the next generation blooms.
