To Change the World

OH, I’ve had Enough

of lies for profit

and blindness to suffering

for the endless production of MORE

the belief that happiness

comes from stuff

If corporations are persons

where is their humanity?

how could nature not have

the very same rights?

who will defend the forests?

who will speak for the mountains?

who stops the desecration of our water?

This battle is ancient, yet more urgent than ever

driven by the heart, by all feelings

we must change the system

it is violent and suicidal

exploiting our mother

the endless production of more must cease

It is killing the world

time to join together

to be the voice

to change the world or die trying
