Changed Locks
4.26.2013
the day everything changed
you called me at 4 am - you had already moved away
you told me you loved me and
my heart ached every day after that
I shouldn’t have fell for you
but I did anyways
I always secretly like you since the 6th grade
but you went away
so we talked long distance for hours long each day
As you stayed gone something went away
we don’t talk anymore but I guess I have to be okay
Every time I try to delete you from my memory
I fail
there isn’t a day that goes by where
your name doesn’t cross my mind
I hate basketball but you’re number is engraved in the passwords
that lock away the deepest part of me
I wish I could say it was on accident
but my “accident” happened on purpose
hoping to show the purpose of my heart
so you’ve moved on
that much is clear
I tried moving on but I find myself writing shit
like this at 4 am on april 26th
you’ve been my key since i can remember
but you’ve changed the locks
and my key doesn’t work anymore.
