Changes
where did the sun go in this town,
the flowers no longer grow and the clouds never leave,
dreams will forever remain underground now,
how upsetting it is to realize how things were meant to be,
tears fall like broken promises on the skin,
draining the soul of the impurities that lie within,
being afraid of the heart has always been a crime,
nothing can heal wounds like father time,
making mistakes is common for the weak ones,
being unable to fix them is a curse for the faint hearted,
living with choices that cannot be undone,
will bring us right back to where we started
