Changing

Choose a change?

I must choose between my community, my world, and my own dusty shelf
But I've come to understand first must come yourself
before you start a fire you must start with just one spark
making contact with just one piece of bark
What I'm trying to say is
I need to BE the change I want to see in my world and my community
And one by one we can all strike a match for the torch of Unity
Yes I'm a dreamer,  and I'm a firm believer of love.
Because If we all contained love
Showing respect wouldn't be so unheard of
If we all had love to give
People wouldn't hate to live
If I could choose a change it would be for one day
For all people to care and share
And understand there isn't a need to swear
And when we all can get along
Like a sister and a brother does
We will know a life like there never was
But first I must begin to change myself
I must clean my own dusty shelf.
