Changing Colors

At first, I had color and I was sturdy up above.

I then had to fall down and restart my life.

I was bright green when I was up and then my downfall turned me brown.

I was always looked up on and now I’m looked down upon.

Piled on the ground, with no originality.

And being stepped on with no caring feeling.

The rough feeling of the souls on the shoes broke me apart.

Everyday I was getting smaller and smaller.

But I never fully disappeared.

No single thought of me fully leaving never crossed my mind.

Beauty changes overtime.

But the obstacles were achieved and I kept on going.
