Changing Me

Here we go again in preludes.
You say you will stop flaunting
But, It only lasts a day until you bow out.
You throw shade, but don't deny.
You admit your wrongs, but don't amend.
You say you will stop immaturity,
But fail to mute your tongue.
Why pridefulness?
Why impress your surroundings?
Why act different in front of your ex-crush and say all the dumb things you wouldn't say when he is not around?
Sometimes being competitive over exceeds its limits portrayed in your life and furthers your distance from others.
I am not cognitive why you do this,
But I am perspicacious of your longing for change and humbleness.
Until then, my good friend, history repeats again.
Only Jesus can change you.
