Changing Power

I came from a place of hurt

I came from a place of fear

I came from a place of lonliness

Cold drafts, and shattered glass

Life was falling apart piece by piece

(crash, clink, clink)

or so I thought

The power of love fixed me

Warmth and sunshine

entered my life

I heard the songs of the birds

Singing of love

The flowers had a love that filled the spring air

day by day

Before I knew it, I was smiling once again

Winter ended; Summer was here to stay

Love can change the world

All the hurting, the powerless

deserve to feel the love--

the love that transforms lives

This world is courrupt by hatred and sadness

The streets screech their songs

and take their lives

But love can change it all
