Changing Scenes

I started out a strong girl, happy and

Independent, but then everything changed.

My world slowly fell apart; the walls caved

In on me. The floor fell out and left me

As I slowly crumbled into pieces.

My new persona was so different –

No longer so happy and confident.

I was a crumpled piece of paper but

Still was expected to lay flat. I was

So broken and nobody even knew.

It was as if I was invisible.

And I slowly faded into the dark,

All alone, with nobody to help me.
