Changing Song

The days may pass as time moves on

A changing melody

My life in a song

The tunes may change as I shift my role

Family and friends

That come and go

Memories had and moments fade

They mold who I am

Then form what I say

Freedom to choose with my life in my hands

Unable to choose

Don't know if I can

Fear the the change while unable to stop

Smile through the troubles

Climb to the top

Remember what pushed you through the sad and the cold

Hold back the tears

Don't let it be shown

Forget those who hurt you and left you alone

Arise like a pheonix

Let your resilience be shown

Always wear a grin so that no one can tell

Day by day

A personal hell

A comfort in logic as I retract from others

Knowledge driven

No time for emotions or lovers

Climb the ranks in a pursuit of learning

Find who truly cares

As bridges start burning

The ones who stood by me when there was nothing to gain

My saviors and reason

They lightened the pain

Standing today and breathing clean air

No longer in darkness

Still able to care

Change is a constant as my song continues playing

New wonders and sounds

No point in complaining

I've battled with troubles and am able to stand

With knowledge and passions

That make me who I am
