Changing the World Through Poetry

Poetry is an outlet. It lets me: Cry for loss of innocence, Weep for those forgotten. It lets me: Change the world, Cry for loss of innocence, From the evil that exists here. Change the world, For the better, From the evil that exists here. Beauty will grow. For the better, Or for the worse, Beauty will grow, Standing for change. Or the worst, A mark will be made. Standing for change, With the written word nearby. A mark will be made, As the world transforms. With the written word nearby, With or without rhyme. As the world transforms, I write my soul. With or without rhyme, Poetry has changed my life.
