Chaos
And all the stars, among them lye
I can not speculate on the sky
I'll tell you in a moment, or eleven
The prophecy I found in the heavens, as in half they were rent,
Stars that I have brought back, do cry;
“I think that I truly know the sky!”
And yet, here on the ground they lay,
Waiting and saving throughout the day
The Storm-Light flashes, blinding bright
Set and Apophis fall, laughing, from sight
I realize the effect, I see it only now, and more,
As the Red Water laps upon my home-shore .
The divine light flickers, fleeting, it fades
As stable as a house of cards,
(one built by Queens-of-Spades)
That falls through the mirror, landing in shards
I did not know, forsooth!
I wanted to finish with the truth.
The Shadow’s Serpent whispers ”All is lossst”!
Ma’at falls, as all must, to Chaos.
