Chaotic Peace

Surrounded by hundreds of dancing bodies, I found peace.

I could feel the bass in my chest and the sweat soaking my shirt but we kept dancing.

White confetti fell from the ceiling as the room and her eyes lit up.

Everyone around us was screaming and jumping and the music got even louder.

She pulled me in and smiled as she kissed me

and suddenly everything was quiet.

The bodies bumping into us dissapeared, the yelling faded away

all I could feel were her lips on mine.

We were the only two people in that moment, and then everything came rushing back.

There is something about being completely at peace in the middle of chaos.

It's not something you feel often but when you do it reminds you what it really feels like

to be alive.
