A "Character" Poem (exposed)

How often do I wish I were, my true definition of a character. The girl who cares for herself even more, the self esteem of an eagle, when I fly i soar. Not full of regret, sorrow or doubt, but my head is held high and I know what Im about. Where a choice to give up would be nonexistent and my own demeanor would be considered persistent. I could let it all out and my voice would be heard, I could express my feelings, I could speak my own words. I would lay my burdens down, throw them all on the table, my life story now exposed and it's merely a fable. My truths would become lies and my lies would be so wrong that those lies would be too shameful and too scared to sing their song. I would be my own person, never following a trend, I would let my fears be open..and admit I need a friend.
