Chasing Illusions
Enter a woman waiting for her ideal prince,
There are nonbelievers difficult to convince.
There is a man who just ends up within her sight,
She wonders if this man may ever be her knight.
She wants to journey with one on a running steed,
But in finding the right man she fails to succeed.
The man whom one searches is difficult to find,
Only knowing that it has to be someone kind.
Enter a man waiting for his ideal princess,
A woman whom he wishes to strive to impress.
There is a woman with an angelic smile,
And he wonders if she would walk down the aisle.
He wants to travel with one alongside the beach,
Someone to whom his feelings he would want to preach.
The woman whom one wants is hardest to search,
Only knowing that she just loves to go to church
When will nice men and women have their victories?
I suppose it all depends on their trajectories.
Surrounded by daily deceptive illusions,
Their minds and hearts are both victims of intrusions.
Picturing a life in London, Paris, or Rome,
Imagining a far away and much better home.
Happily ever after but sadly before,
Frustration and suffering that all would abhor.
