Chasing scraps of hope

I run along trying to reach, to grasp what little is held within me The four letter distant word that could not be proactive to warm anything but the air Yet I feel that it hasn’t dissipated or become extinct. Like an addict going through withdrawal symptoms Or a polar bear without its permanent blanket I am left to fend through the lone starlit night with nothing but that four letter word. Scared to the point where I have become anesthetized from all things I have witnessed Coming to the conclusion that the world can be a fearful places after all, Who would have knew that this child of god had to be left here like trash left only looking down. I just was drenched with an adolescence desires To see, to answer my questions that no research paper can ever I had to experience it, to know what I never wanted to know Yes, I ran away hoping for a jackpot of luck for adventure If only it had come true I would have been able to live like a gypsy and discover like Indiana Jones Not one ounce had that been true All else instead, I was a victim of my own naivety, yet criminal to morals and to everyone around. If only they would understand, that I was here to crawl out of my chains but weathered by harsh climate and pounded with consequence left only tickled with leftover hope.
