Chasing Storms

I am standing here in this rain.

I can feel it soothe my pain.

The droplets heal my burning wounds,

The thunder echoes with voluminous booms.

This weather is beautiful and hides my tears,

It fights and chases away my fears.

The rain washes away the memories of the past,

And I hope this moment of peace will last.

My love for the rain becomes clear,

And I can feel my soul become whole and near.

The rain slowly dissolves my world,

And in this moment I'd rather dance and twirl.

In this rain myself I've lost,

Forget my feelings and what they cost.

So I'll take a step back and close my eyes and heart to what people say,

Because I know this beautiful rain will wash it all away.
