Chatterbox

waking to a new day I think of new opportunities

is today the day I can truly be at ease

negative chatter in my head the pastor said its the chatterbox

he tells me to believe in god, have faith and it will stop

as I listen I hear you'll always live in fear

it isn't the truth and I know it but the voice is so clear

don't do that or this so you don't look like a fool

always careful and cautious so I can keep looking cool

when around my friends all the confidence kicks in

there's no law I will obey and no rule that can't be bent

I'm lifted by the laughs and smiles, I really don't think

I just live in the moment with my mind on auto think

then when I'm alone in my home

I think of my country and what's wrong

How can I have a kid in a world that is so cold

I just want to live past 50 years old

Can I achieve my dreams and live in success

Should I shut out the world and just work til i'm stressed

I think about everything I have in excess

Alot of good things ensures me that i'm blessed

I organize my day in my mind

I try to make it perfect, but my actions change every time

The last time I saw a man on the street

I made a promise to myself saying that will never be me
