Cheap ring

Green Finger Promises

“pinkie-swears” in the third grade,

matching necklaces in middle school.

Who knew $2 could give me

some happiness?

Telepathy in Psychics

remind me of how

you read my mind

Who knew that copper rings painted silver

could steal a heart?

Chipped-paint nail polish fingers

Aren’t seen as much

But, you see their importance

Who knew that your helping hand

with the matching green finger

was all I needed to

see myself?
