Cheer of Champions

The beauty as they tumble and fly across the air.

The grace they have when stunting and the jumps they do with care!

I wish that I could join them, I bet that I’d enjoy.

Can I be a cheerleader? Oh wait… I’m a boy.

As much as I would love to I know I’d be ashamed.

Cheerleadings for girls, and boys just play the game.

But I did it anyways, it couldn’t hurt to try.

I can be a cheerleader even if I’m a guy.

Yeah they called me names that I don’t think I’ll repeat

And yeah, sometimes their comments would leave my spirit beat

I knew I’d get made fun of but I didn’t care

The cheer I got from cheering was worth the flak I bared.

I wouldn’t trade it for the world because now I can inspire.

The fear I faced might help someone else face their desire.
