Cheers to fifty years

Growing up
Its hard to forget
Years of sorrow
Years of regret

Cheers to the pain
Cheers to the joy
Getting old is hard
Youth is not a toy

Though there was some bad
Good is always there
People I hate
People's love we share

Times gone by
Not fast nor slow
Time will last
Memories glow

Things we could have shared
Things we could have done
Stories forever lost
Two minus one

Fifty years is long
When your alone
Fifty years is boring
When your partner's under stone
