Chef in Training

Chef in Training

by: Rebecca Palhano

That moment I found my dream!

Cooking, baking, and standing with the best

If only I could see;

That dream, that dream right in front of me-

My dream so large and grand but yet so vague;

I dream of becoming one someday!

A Chef, A Chef- is what I wish to be

Can you not see, the passion

That passion inside of me!

I am eager to learn, hungry for more;

Can I step onto the other side of that door?

Hold it open, hold it wide,

I am comming; Oh I will try!

My best, my best,

And my very best at that!

How hard, what cost shall I pay;

Will I continue to ender it today?

I will push, and push until I am there;

Becoming the best- is what I dare!

Can you see, Oh can YOU see;

My dream, there, staring back at me.
