A Chemist and a Motivator

From the beginning you were there for me,

When I first walked the halls of San Dimas High.

You made me feel safe and secure;

Something no others could supply.

Mrs. Luevand you showed me that change

is nothing to be feared.

Your wild fun and motherly kindness

Are something I revered.

In a time where all was new

You took me under your care,

Sparking my interest in the sciences,

Filling my mind with knowledge beyond compare.

I owe my diligence all to you,

Your expert example has taught me well.

Inspiration filled my heart with strength;

I could do nothing but excel.

No matter the occasion,

Or your own state of mind

You always put your students first,

Ever were you kind.

I’ve never met another

Quite as passionate as you.

The love of chemistry you’ve instilled in me

Is something which no one can outdo.

I will forever remember

The teacher who set me on my way,

To realize my greatest potential,

to make constant headway.

Thank you Mrs. Luevand,

For all that you have done.

I know that your positive influence on my life

Will better me in the long run.
