Cherishing you.

You left me in this world alone.

I’m still trying to figure out if this real.

I’m still trying to understand why the most beautiful flower had to be plucked.

I held you as I filled myself with optimism.

Thinking you’d stay for me.

That if you really loved me you wouldn’t leave.

I didn’t let you see me cry as I felt you leaving.

I realized that no amount of love would make you stay.

The clouds were ready to have you.

The sky is very lucky to have such a beautiful person.

But I am left here, without you.

I wonder if you think about me, I wonder if you ask about me.

I wonder if you watch me as I cry for you and ask God why he took you away from me.

I wonder if you’re proud of me.

Of the woman I am becoming, of pursuing my dreams, of fighting for what I believe in.

I hope you’re proud because I learned that all from you.

You made me stronger.

You made me more confident.

You taught that good things don’t last forever

You taught me to cherish those things because you never know when the clouds will decide to take them.
