The Cherry Blossom Seed
I own so many
Big blue buckets of tears that
Are hidden safely.
I’ve begun this hoard since those
“Great Youthful” middle school days.
As those days pass, bad
Bigots arise to eat flesh
Off of my own skin.
This was anyone's biggest fear,
Eyes broken by heavy tears
At the same time a
Cherry blossom tree seed fall
From ever-blue skies.
The seed was depleted, stale
And so dry like red deserts
It's just sitting there
Mountain still, tombstone quite
Decaying alone.
It begs for a new hero
Or a faithful miracle.
I needed some peace
Myself after bigoted
Crowds dining fresh skin.
I could hear the small seed wails,
Cries put together by thirst.
Ears pick up the sounds,
Trace out wide golden-pink trails
To that arid seed.
Buckets shine fearlessly, tears
Stir with their very first joy.
And when I got there
I pour out hefty waterfalls
That water the seed.
Meanwhile, our souls become
Magical, rainbow beams glare.
The seed grew and grow
Leaves burst, branches stretch about.
Just…gorgeous beauty.
It picks me up, cradles me
Unlocks life's most vivid lands
Shhh lovely baby,
Remarks this mythical plant.
I’m here, Nurse Blossom,
I shall soothe all ugly wounds
And stitch up cracked lonely souls
