Chewing
Strong feelings take over
A desire for control
I fight each idea in my head
I want power over the situation
It makes me want to scream
I clench my fingers
I hold my body back
I am really only in control of myself
It keeps coming
Never ceasing to pick at me
I lock myself in place
An overcoming impulse to lunge
I hold my body at bay
With little strength left
Finally I speak up
I ask,
"could you stop chewing with your mouth open"
