Chicharrón

So I became the swill

Of an empty heart filled with air

A pluses drew blood out of geysers

I'm a miser, throat glutted with care

From one side adobo

And white eyed milk

Jesus took my joystick to play

Mom worked on holidays

Dad was three different dads

Lola cared too much but was from different lands

Or should I say different islands

And I land here on a bare spot in So Cal

So far, I'm scarred from no foul

Fortune plus a bust from casino Filipinos

I have not struggled so far,

But so far I'm in-between stills

Like pauses in frames

A Film Major would majorly

Stand still in the major leagues

From a stagnant start to a standing finish

I hope to make a better name

In footage of failures undiminished

In new shoes I won't stand in the same.
