As A Child

As a child I grew to value and nurture the essence of love.

He looked into her eyes and kissed her wrinkly forehead.

I sighed.

65 years of marriage and many more came their way.

I looked up to my grandparents, and smiled.

Nurtured by love, fourteen children followed.

As years passed,

I looked into his eyes and smiled.

Those big brown eyes starred back at mine.

I found someone who looked and valued me just like my grandpa once looked at my grandma.

Love is beautiful, cherish it, value it until your last breath.
