Child

Child,

You are ignorant.

Ignorant to the horrors of our world.

Hatred.

Evil.

Corruption.

Destruction.

No,

Child,

You live in your own little world.

With love,

With good,

With honesty,

With creation.

Bliss.

Child,

Many long for what you have.

Your eyes are shut.

Your ears are covered.

You care only for the joys of life.

Child,

As you come of age,

You’ll see the reality of who we are.

Child,

Your eyes will open.

Your ears will listen.

You will see treachery.

You will hear horror.

Child,

You’ll be shunned for who you love,

You’ll be insulted for the color of your skin,

You’ll be an outcast for what you choose to believe,

You’ll be treated with disdain for where you come from.

Be careful. Be careful. Be careful.

Child,

Many will try to destroy you.

Many will try to kill you.

Many will try to ruin you.

And some who try

Have more power than others.

Child,

There will be a day where you will be judged.

Every part of your being will be accounted for.

And,

The judge’s decision will either

Make

Or

Break you.

Child,

Do not stay ignorant.

Learn.

See.

Choose.

Fight.

Be who you are.

Child,
This world will consume you.

But, you must force your way out.

Oh, child,

You will learn many things when you finally realize.

Who you are.

What you believe in.

Who you love.

But you will also find that our world

Is both a heaven

And a hell.

I love you,

Child.
