child changes

happiness we think of as personal

its an idea that usually is not reversible

because typically the happy we see

is happy for me

when you become a father or mother

your focus changes to another

it is not about me or mine

it becomes the child's that shines

instead oof seeking happiness for me

we want happiness for our child, he or she

see your child laugh and smile

makes you want to linger a while

your pleasure you would give away

to have joy come to your child and stay

Enjoy yourself while you can

know more joy when you and child are hand in hand.
