As a child I was

As a child I was young and proud

I lived a carefree life with no worries

I thought I would be happy all the time and nothing could go wrong

But everything changed and so did I

I thought I could get used to this but I was wrong

My happieness soon went down the drain when I entered high school

Everything from school to family life has changed right before my eyes

My family was split and my friends come and go

I was heartbroken and thought this would be the end for me

I was starting to shut down and began to hear voices

Voices that say negative things about me and I thought they were true

I started to break down and thought about ending my life to start a new one

Then came a spark of light

I didnt know if i should take the risk yet i did

Soon I began to heal when I spoke for myself

Since then I'm healing and manage to start a new appearance

Even though I'm still healing

I still fear what life has in store for me
