the child lost

the child you were

the child you are

the child you have

the child you lost

the child in all of us

the child we rely on to keep us believing in the magic in the world

the miracles

the love

the beauty in life

the joy in stopping long enough to smell the roses and relax

but if you lose touch with them

you forget it all

magic is makebelieve

miracles are fake

love doesnt exist

beauty fades

roses die

but the child keeps us alive

its a part of us

if we lose the piece that makes the puzzle whole its never finished

if we lose our final reminder that the world is beautiful

we lose ourselves
