Childhood Shine

Teaching me how to walk seemed a breeze for you

Picking me up from preschool was a test

You would roll up to the school right on time, no questions asked

You are simply one of the best

Putting me on your shoulders when I could stand no more

Making my childhood shine 

I could proclaim to all of my fellow students

No body have a dad as great as mine

I could tell that sometimes you worried or hurt

But you would never let me see you down

Because you were my superhero 

And you never failed to stick around

When times were tough you taught me courage

And how to keep my head held high

You reminded me that everything would be okay

Even when all I could do was cry

You are my greatest gift on earth
