ChildhoodI woke up on my

Childhood
I woke up on my born day
Gat no Breast milk to suck
Due to mammy's condition
Sucking from grandma
T' was a bit strange but beautiful
Got soaked in the stream wisdom of old folks
I grew up in a village
Where everything was fine in my time
The Moon would set in the beauty of star's at night
Dancing with enem-lo (mzu) all over my body
Running with pants through the night with moonlight
I swear that's the beauty of my childhood
All we do is make sure we get our house Chores done n come out to play at night Especially with the Moon n stars
Clapping n dancing to the realms of bird but Never mess around
I remember an Old man in our compound then by name (Papa Nyor-gbor)
Never will I forget him for making my childhood a memorable one
Telling us stories was never a problem to him
Until his Demise n I pray may his gentle soul
Continue to rest with Almighty
But then running from street to street
I was a part of it
And from stream to stream was never allowed
Trust me...
We were happy children
We were blessed children
We were lovely children
But right now
We can't really tell what's going on with this generation
It feels like you don't know your younger ones
It feels like you were never a child
It feels like you will never get to know them
I pray that the Mercy, love n grace of God speak for them
Trust me 199...childhood was beautiful
Which our mistakes was never ignore by our parents.
